Established in Peterborough in 1932, F Perkins Limited are world leading designers and manufacturers of gas and diesel engines suitable for a wide range of applications.  One of the first companies to appreciate the potential of diesel, Perkins have successfully retained their first-class position as suppliers of gas engines and off-highway diesel.

Today Perkins manufacturing and parts distribution sites are located across the world including China, India, North America, South America and the UK –  allowing for faster deliveries to customers wherever they are in the world.  Peterborough however, remains the home of Perkins producing the ever popular 1100 series, the 400 series and the fuel-efficient 1200 series. The Peterborough facility has the capacity to produce up to 500,000 engines a year and is also a well-established base for worldwide research and development, producing engines up to 7.1 litres.

Perkins engines power over 5000 different applications in various different sectors including, agricultural, construction, electric power, industrial, material handling, gas, marine and rental.

Industrial

Perkins engines are suitable for a wide range of industrial applications, with high power densities, compact designs, all at competitive prices – uses include: excavators, tractors, telehandlers, access platforms and compressors.

Marine

Perkins offer a vast selection of marine diesel engines providing propulsion for high speed powerboats and commercial craft, small pleasure crafts, fishing vessels, dredgers, pilot boats and tugs. The Perkins Parts and Service team also provide reliable auxiliary support to generate electricity for lighting, pumps and haul net equipment for the marine industry.

400 Series

A well-established line of engines providing robust technology and optimised performance, all of which meet global emissions.

2 Cylinder 402D-05 models – the smallest engine, offering excellent performance and low cost in a compact form.

3 Cylinder 403-07 models – the step up from the 402 series, the 403 models provide improved power and performance in a small package.

4 Cylinder 404-22 models – these offer high performance and are at the premium end of the 400 series.

850 Series

4 Cylinder – Suitable for a wide range of applications, the 850 series delivers 45-90 KW (60-120hp) of power and is an excellent choice for backhoe loaders, telehandlers, skid steer loaders, access platforms, and agricultural tractors amongst others.

Perkins Syncro offers tailor made compact engines specifically designed to integrate machine design, ranging from 1.7, 2.2, 2.8 and 3.6 litre engines.

2800 Series

6 Cylinder – The 2800 series offers an incredibly powerful and robust family of engines with 18 litre industrial engines as well as a range of EP engines for power generation requirements from 591 – 750 kVA.

4000 Series

Suitable for larger electronic power requirements, both standby or prime electricity generation –  providing exceptional performance and reliability.

6 Cylinder – Diesel engines for prime or standby generators offering outstanding efficiency and versatility. The diesel Electropak engines/Electro Units delivers 750-938 kVA, supplied either with or without radiator and air cleaner.

8 Cylinder – Supplied with or without radiator and air cleaner, the diesel ElectropaK engines/Electro Units delivers 844-1250 kVA, providing efficient and reliable power for both standby and prime generators.

12 Cylinder – The 4012, 12 cylinder range is suitable for large prime or standby generations with 46 litre displacement.

16 Cylinder – The 4016 range has an impressive 61 litre displacement in both ElectropaK and Electro Unit variants – their compact design and excellent power to weight ratio makes them easy to transport and install.
